Turtle Time

Turtle Time privacy policy

Last updated 28 October 2026

Turtle Time collects nothing. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone. There's no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and the app doesn't send anything over the internet.

Who we are

Turtle Time is made by Sam Thornton. You can reach us at support@turtletime.app.

What stays on your phone

The moments, pets, settings and timers you add are stored only on your iPhone, in the app's own storage. They're not added to your iOS calendar and not sent to us or anyone else.

Third parties

Turtle Time contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code, and shares no data with anyone, because it has none to share.

Permissions the app may ask for

Each permission is optional, and you can change it any time in the iPhone's Settings.

Sharing

When you share a nudge, iOS sends the picture and text to the app or person you pick. Turtle Time doesn't see or keep a copy of where it went.

A shared picture or message never includes a date you've entered, such as a birthday or the day of a wedding. It shows the moment's name, as you wrote it, and the time in animal time: "1,000 dog days since our wedding". If you want the date in there, you can add it to your own message.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays on your iPhone until you delete it. You can delete any moment or pet in the app, and deleting the app deletes everything it stored. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, that backup includes the app's data, under Apple's privacy policy or on your own computer. We hold no copy, so there's nothing for us to delete or send you, but you're welcome to ask.

Children

Because the app collects no personal data, it collects none from children either.

Changes

If this ever changes, this page will say so before the app does anything differently.
